Behind the glass counter at Dokk Büfé you’ll find the most delectable fresh fish and seafood including octopus, tuna, devilfish, prawns, sea asparagus (you might know it as sea beans), or even diamond fish. Taste anything that catches your eye! Fresh fish and seafood arrives regularly from all over the world with extra care take during transport to ensure the very best quality.
Dokk Büfé is unique because it is set in an industrial environment, but it offers the friendliness of a market, the hospitality of a restaurant, and the entertainment of a theatre as the chefs prepare the food in an open kitchen.
Dokk Büfé was the idea of Péter Palotás who also owns the Budaörs Fish Market. Initially he started cooking something delicious just on the weekends so that market-goers could taste different types of fish and seafood, and sample different flavours and techniques. After three or four of these taste testers, people were lining up with takeaway boxes so it became clear that there was a demand for an eatery like Dokk Büfé.
